I pick up on signs all day long from my guides. From sudden clear or random thoughts, to a line in a song, a license plate, a billboard, an overheard conversation, an Instagram post that draws my attention, a symbol (like a star or a heart) that means something to me, number signs (numerology), someone says something that is significant to me, etc. It’s constant, all day, and always very clear to me. When something unexpected happens, I take note. While I may not get exactly what I’m looking for, it’s always encouraging and inspiring, and buoys my faith that I am always being directed and protected by my divine team.
You are Always Being Guided
Are you seeing all the signs every day? Are you asking for them? Looking for them? Noticing? I am in awe of how many people are oblivious. It actually saddens me that their guides are working so hard to help them, and they walk right on by without even seeing it. Your guides won’t give up on you either – they keep trying. Keep nudging you. Keep attempting to show you what you need to do. Or even that they are just there to support you. To remind you to have faith. But they are always directing you on your best path. You have to be the one to see it and take action though.
Let me give you an example. So last week I had a friend text me. She has been doing paintings and selling them to friends. She texts her group of friends with the picture of the painting to see if anyone wants to purchase it. As you can imagine, this isn’t going to take her very far. As I was texting her back last week, I had a sudden divine download and added – “you need to get on social media and start posting your pictures there.” She responded, “you are the third person that has said that this week, but I’m just not ready. It will happen in divine time.” LOL. I was like, “divine time”? Your guides are clearly telling you that it’s time! 3 people in one week? Um, that’s divine guidance my friend. It’s your choice to listen or ignore it though.
You and God are a Team
My mom used to say a phrase all the time when I was little, though I don’t know if she even truly understood the deeper meaning of it – but it was clearly something I needed to hear. It was, “God helps those who help themselves.” I had a moment of clarity the other day on something I needed to do, and I questioned if it was something I truly needed to do – or if God was going to come in with some divine intervention on it. And suddenly, this phrase that my mom used to say popped into my head – and my solar chimes in my bedroom started to go crazy (how my guides confirm things for me sometimes). Ah, I got it. If you are inspiring me to do it, I need to be the one to take action on it.
The co-creative process between us and God is an ebb and flow. It’s like we are running a relay race with God. God gets us from point A to point B and we have to take the baton and continue to point C – divinely guided of course. But you aren’t alone. God will pick things up again at point C. And really, God will be there for you the whole way. It’s all about God aligning things for you so that you can step in and take guided action, as you see the signs or receive the inspiration to do that. We just need to learn, grow, notice the signs and keep moving as we are guided. THAT is how you live your best life. How you live the beautiful life that was intended for you.
Signs from Angels
I was recently talking to my hairdresser about the signs I get, and how there was a day that every time I turned around, I had a feather on me. And everywhere I looked while driving to and from my chiropractor that day, there was 44, 444 and 4444. And when I got home, one of my dogs was intently watching something (not visible to me) that was hovering above me. (Yes, sometimes animals can see angels and divine beings.) These are signs that angels are with you.
It was a pretty powerful day for me with huge realizations prior to that, and that’s when all the angel signs showed up. This was a show of support, confirmation, and love. It felt amazing! And when I shared this with my hairdresser, his jaw dropped. And he said he sees feathers all the time. He didn’t know it was even a sign. He thanked me for sharing that with him.
The Meaning of the Signs
Personally, I have learned to look things up, especially if I feel something is significant. A bird that flies overhead repeatedly when I’m walking my dogs. What type of bird was it? I google the meaning of seeing that type of bird. If I see a repeating number like 888. I look it up (though I know most of them now – LOL). Sometimes I’ll even see something several times and it will catch my attention. Like this week 515 kept showing up in a noticeable way. I always look it up. Feathers, coins, colors, numbers, you name it, I google the meaning of it. I also have some apps (I love the “11:11 Oracle” app for number signs) I use on my phone to look them up!
There are times too when your guides do something really significant to get your attention. Say that you say something that your guides really want to confirm, emphasize, or agree with. Some of the things they have done for me are – making a light come on by itself, making the TV come on by itself, bringing through a text or phone call at that moment (always notice what you were thinking when your phone goes “ding!” – it may have been your guides communicating with you), or even just a loud noise or siren outside to get your attention.
Starting the Conversation Yourself
Another thing you can do is create signs for yourself. Ask your guides to show you certain symbols or numbers as confirmation, or as a positive sign that you are on track. I also have an agreement with God that the first song when I turn on my ‘radio’ (Pandora) station in the morning will always be a significant message to me. This morning it made me cry. It was clearly a message from God to me about some things I’m dealing with, and it was incredibly comforting and confirming that I was on path with things, and I have God’s support. Beautiful!
When I need a firm yes or no from God, I now ask and hear it immediately in my head – sometimes before I ask. But in the past (and when I need clarification) I have used oracle cards, a pendulum, or even a psychic to help me decipher things (I still use psychics/intuitives to gain deeper clarity). I use oracle cards daily for inspiration and clarity too, and just ask that God delivers me any messages that I need that day, and I pull as many cards as I feel are needed. And sometimes it’s not even the message on the card, but the picture, something in the picture, the number on the card, or something that has a different meaning for me. Or for that matter, it might be one line in the card guidebook explanation that is exactly what I needed to hear.
Communication is Essential
What I’m trying to say here though, is that God (usually through your guides) is ALWAYS trying to communicate with you. Look, listen, and pay good attention. Follow your gut on what is a sign. Ask for signs if you need one! And remember that it may be as simple as hearing that love song as being from God. Sometimes that is impressed upon me, and it makes me cry. Because your guides and angels are literally at your side all the time, showing you that you are loved, and guiding you in the right direction to help you in all ways.
You Need to Pay Attention
Are there lessons? Yes, there are lessons. There are challenges. Sometimes there are messes we get ourselves into by not listening to our divine guidance. But we learn. And if we don’t, there are more lessons. LOL. But if it teaches you anything, let it teach you to pay attention. Pay attention not just to signs, but to the feeling in your gut, to what you feel drawn to, and to what lights up your heart. Ask for confirmation. Ask for signs. Ask to be shown the way and then pay attention to EVERYTHING. Because they will always show you, tell you, and impress upon you what is best for you.
Or perhaps even if you are going the wrong way. You will be shown. You will be course corrected if you need it. And you will find your way. But you have to pay attention. Take yourself off of autopilot, look around, listen, and come back to your spiritual center. Remember that God’s got you – always.
